He was a teacher at Central Grammar School Birmingham in the early 60's and had a liking for brutally hitting children across their heads at their eye level. Roy Cromack hit me so hard one day the he broke my spectacles and my parents made a formal complaint about him to Mr D W Ockleton, the school headmaster. Roy Cromack paid for my replacement glasses and his unnecessary savage and brutal bullying or young children was stopped. His family memorial at his death said Roy Cromack was a loving father and grandfather. My view is he was a savage bully who should not have been let any where near young children.
